I know I've been a little MIA on the posting front, but this is because I've had to reorganize the way we Fund our Mods. I'm trying to make this project as sustainable as possible. To do so, our more significant mods (i.e., Private Practice) will be on a quarterly release until the Fund can back it monthly. Right now, I've been paying for most of it out of pocket to the Mod Developer which I cannot suitably do every month. That's unrealistic.
That doesn't mean there won't be something in the interim because I'm pushing for smaller mods to be release in-between. We just got a snag on the first upcoming, but I hope to resolve the issue beginning of next month and hopefully announce something more official so that everyone knows what else is coming. Yes, I know I was supposed to do sneak peeks on it, but again, this was and still is, very much experimental.
However, there is good news to be had with this post. I'm also pushing to having another Private Practice update for June. That means the release schedule for this mod will be June, September, and December. This can and hopefully will change as the Fund grows. I'm hoping that by September, the Fund can sustain the mod and we can move forward from there. Just an FYI, our June release will be pushed back until AFTER the Seasons Expansion is released to make sure it is good to go with it. Then we can work out other kinks through our testing process (Alpha-Beta-Pre-Release-Release).
In regards to SNB, our banking/financial mod, I've reworked the way funds are allocated. If you really want this mod to be remade and sustain before we can reach the sustainability of Private Practice, you can fund this mod individually. By donating through the SNBank brand seen below on our Mod Fund page. This is separate from Patreon so you won't get the Patreon rewards. The only benefit you get from adding to the Fund this way is the fact that this mod will be developed faster. Also, you can fund other mods in development if you so choose individually. It can be a one-time thing or a monthly thing. You decide.
If you have any questions regarding these changes or if you have suggestions on how we can better improve the way we Fund, please let me know! You can do this by commenting on this post or on Discord in our General Chat area. Remember, this is a community-driven idea and not Nichole's Show ;-) I'm open to all ideas that are within reason and makes sense to what is trying to be accomplished here, quality, realist mods for all.
Much Love,
Nichole
